The Story Garden receives organic seeds and plants from a variety of neighbors and local programs. We strive to ensure that we offer culturally diverse food so that all neighbors see themselves in the space.

We host a variety of culinary and medicinal herbs in the garden as an offering to our community chefs and healers. There is a designated herb garden for our most popular herbs, but medicinal plants grow all throughout the garden. We host a plant identifier class at least once a season.

The combination of food scraps, yard waste, water, and air, compost allows us to have no waste and benefit from the natural order of recycling organic material. We become no waste growers, and are able to nurture our plants with the best black soil. Find instructions on our process located on our compost bins to participate.
